Kurt Heister is a private investor and the President of Foxtail Real Estate Investors. Mr. Heister has a long history in private and public companies as a Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer most recently as the Chief Financial Officer of Roch Capital, a privately-owned firm investing in real estate. Prior to joining Roch Capital, Mr. Heister served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Equity Office Properties (EOP) from 2007 when EOP was acquired by the Blackstone Group (Blackstone) through his retirement at the end of 2015. In such capacity, Mr. Heister oversaw the finance, IT, human resource, legal, due diligence, treasury and accounting functions of EOP and managed the conversion of EOP from a public REIT to the operating platform for Blackstone’s investments in the commercial office sector.

Previously, Mr. Heister was Chief Accounting Officer and Treasurer of CarrAmerica Realty Trust (CarrAmerica), a publicly traded office REIT, until it was taken private by the Blackstone Group in 2006. Upon acquisition, Mr. Heister became Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Heister began his career in public accounting at Arthur Andersen LLP and graduated from Penn State University where he currently serves as member of the Smeal College of Business Real Estate Advisory Board. Kurt and his wife reside in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania with their four children.
