Mr. Sigmund has led TeamAg, Inc. since the company was founded in January of 2002. He leads a staff of twenty six professionals who are dedicated to helping farmers achieve co-equal goals of improving both the economic and environmental performance of their farms. As President of TeamAg, Mr. Sigmund works extensively with a wide range of agricultural interests that include farmers, agri-businesses, public sector institutions, NGOs and non-profits. Prior to 2002 he was employed as Manager of Environmental Services for Brubaker Consulting Group. Mr. Sigmund is fully certified with Pennsylvania’s Nutrient Management Program and is a certified Technical Service Provider for USDA-NRCS. He also serves on several source water protection committees in Lancaster County, PA and is a member of the Lititz Run Watershed Association. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Lancaster Urban Farming Initiative. (www.lancasterufi.org) and also a member of the Pennsylvania Chesapeake Bay Phase 3 Watershed Implementation Plan Steering Committee.

Mr. Sigmund received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and his Master of Science Degree in Natural Resources Management from the University of Connecticut. His graduate research and thesis focused on the use of a forested riparian zone, in an agricultural setting, as a best management practice to treat nutrient and sediment loss from an agricultural field.
